What happened
At Davos 2026, the World Economic Forum highlighted 20 organisations in a new cohort of its MINDS programme — Meaningful, Intelligent, Novel, Deployable Solutions — and released the Proof over Promise report with Accenture.
Drawing on hundreds of applications and interviews, the report identified five recurring requirements: treating AI as an enterprise capability, redesigning work around human–AI collaboration, strengthening data foundations, modernising technology platforms and building responsible oversight into deployment.
Why it mattered
The announcement moved the Davos AI conversation from impressive demonstrations to repeatable improvements in productivity, resilience and public outcomes. The cohort created a practical benchmark for executives comparing pilots with scaled adoption.
What to watch
The next signal is whether recognised projects continue to deliver measurable value and whether the five operating principles transfer across industries and regulatory environments.
