Please register your interest to this session, you will recieve a confirmation notification if you are accepted. The early days of 5G-Advanced marketing included a heavy focus on precision positioning as a fundamental value proposition of the technology. Today, as the industry looks forward to future 6G networks and services, integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) has emerged as one of the most promising use cases for beyond 5G technologies. The commercial and industrial applications of high-precision sensing are many and many operators are building strategies to monetise them. The critical communications and defence applications, however, could be much more important and a real opportunity to put ISAC to good use as mobile networks evolve to support public safety priorities. Diverse use cases should be a boon to ISAC technology development but also raise key questions for the industry and mobile ecosystem stakeholders. What are the mission-first use cases for ISAC? How do they compare with commercial applications? Can both co-exist? What is the role of open-source networking and new wave forms in delivering high-performance positioning solutions? How would the integration of NTN architectures and land-based sensing (EG radar) support positioning use cases? Do we need to wait for 6G before benefitting? What technology options exist today and how can operators begin experimenting today? How are industry innovators thinking about ISAC and making it a reality? Join this exclusive executive roundtable where we will discuss the future of ISAC and precision sensing enabled by mobile networks.
